Karen Partelow is a talented Folk Artist. She was raised in the Catskill Mountains of NY state. She was a preacher's wife in a Ramapo Mountains among decendents of the first freed Black slaves in America. They were freed about 1620 by the Dutch,before the English settled in the New World. She presently lives in North Carolina and paints in her spare time.
